Yo Joe June continues, fresh from Joe Fest 2023! The next few posts will feature my newest artwork that I just got from Joe Fest! My first Joe Fest was loads of fun and I'm so glad I went! Fortunately, I'm already familiar with most of the artists that were there, which helped make these happen!
Yo Joe June, Day 11: Cobra Eel by Brian Shearer!
Brian Shearer, has been part of the creative team to work on the longest run of GI Joe! I follow Brian on Social Media (you should be too!) And saw that he was taking pre-orders for Joe Fest. I immediately reached out with some reference for the Eel. The Eels were a major part of the Cobra forces in the 80s and I've always been a fan.
I thought that Brian's style would be a great fit for the Eel and he still blew me away with this! The details rock and his marker colors are really vivid and sharp! This is just a superb commission that really pops and comes to life!
